Joe Wilson, CAI | President
joe@wilsonauctioneers.comJoe Wilson has led the company as president since 1986. He lives by the motto “Treat everyone as you want to be treated, be completely honest, and practice Christian principles in your business.”
Joe is a second generation auctioneer. He grew up in an auction family and began doing odd jobs in his father’s auction business as a young boy. In 1972 he graduated Fort Smith Auction School, earned his auctioneer license and began working full time in the family business.
Wilson obtained his real estate sales license in 1973 and went on to become a broker in 1981. In 1994 Joe received the Certified Auctioneers Institute designation from Indiana University. CAI is an executive development program and is the most prestigious designation awarded in the auction industry.
Wilson is Past President of the Arkansas Auctioneers Association, Past President of the National Auctioneers Licensing Law Officials Association and Past Chairman of the Arkansas Auctioneers Licensing Board, originally appointed to the board by Governor Bill Clinton in 1989.
In 1996 Wilson was elected Director of the National Auctioneers Association (NAA), went on to serve as Vice President in 1999 and in 2001 was elected President of the 6,500 member world wide organization and served as one of the most outstanding Presidents in NAA history. In 2003, Wilson was inducted into the Arkansas Auctioneers Hall of Fame.
Joe continues to be active in both State and National Auctioneers Associations and was recently honored with the President’s Award of Distinction during the 2007 NAA Conference and Show. As chairman of the “Investing in Our Future” initiative, Joe led the National Auctioneers Foundation in raising over Three Million Dollars to strengthen the association and the industry’s future.
Along with being an active company CEO, Joe is an instructor at Reppert School of Auctioneering in Auburn, Indiana. He also serves as a continuing education instructor to the auction industry and the real estate industry, having taught in over 42 states, Canada and Mexico. Joe is a regular guest speaker before national audiences on various topics of selling real estate at auction.
Joe has been married for 31 years to Susan Wilson. Joe and Susan have 2 daughters, Sara Kathryn and Meredith, and a son, Spencer. The family has grown to include Sara Kathryn’s husband, Matt and precious granddaughter, Charli Ann. Joe and his family are active members of Hot Springs Baptist Church.
DOUG WESTGATE | Real Estate Auctioneer / Agent
doug@wilsonauctioneers.comDoug received his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Henderson State University in 1993, is a Graduate of Reppert School of Auctioneering in Indiana, a licensed Auctioneer and Realtor in the state of Arkansas and an active Member of the National Auctioneers Association, attending the NAA national conventions annually.
Doug has contracted and coordinated hundreds of successful real estate auctions over the last several years with Wilson Auctioneers, Inc. and specializes in Waterfront Properties, Large Tracts of Land and High End Residential Homes.
Doug is married with 3 children and is very active in his church and as a volunteer for charity auctions.
gladys raney, CAI | Director of auction marketing / Agent
gladys@wilsonauctioneers.comMs. Raney joined Wilson Auctioneers, Inc. in 2001 after having been a private business owner for 18 years. She is a 1999 graduate of Missouri Auction School in St. Joseph, Missouri, a licensed Auctioneer and a licensed Real Estate Agent.
Gladys is a Member of the National Auctioneers Association and has earned the Certified Auctioneers Institute (CAI) designation.
She Specializes in Residential Properties, Commercial Properties and Bankruptcy Liquidations. With an extensive real estate title and marketing background, she also serves as the director of auction marketing.
Gladys is an avid scuba diver, golfer and master gardener.
ben williams | Director of Administrative Services / Agent
ben@wilsonauctioneers.comBen started his career with Wilson Auctioneers, Inc. in August of 2005.
He has since earned his Arkansas Real Estate License and is working towards his Arkansas Auctioneer License. Williams is a graduate of Reppert School of Auctioneering in Auburn, Indiana.
During the 2007 International Auctioneers Conference and Show, held in San Diego, California, Ben attended the Professional Ringman’s Institute and competed in the first annual International Ringman Championship. Williams currently holds the position of Director of Administrative Services and is a contractor of real estate auctions for Wilson Auctioneers, Inc.
Ben is 26 years old and has been married for 4 years.
Diane McKinney | Office Administrator / Executive Assistant
diane@wilsonauctioneers.comDiane joined Wilson Auctioneers, Inc. in March of 2001.
She brings 10 years of administrative experience, working with all levels of executive/senior management. She is very organized, detail-oriented and keeps our busy and fast paced office flowing smoothly. In addition, she updates the website, designs all property information portfolios and coordinates the advertising/marketing of all auctions.
Diane has been married for 17 years. She enjoys being involved in activities within her church and spending time with her family.
Belinda Walters | Finance Coordinator / Agent
belinda@wilsonauctioneers.comBelinda came to Wilson Auctioneers, Inc. in January of 1997 as a Real Estate Agent. She brings 17 years experience as a Real Estate Professional.
In April of 2001 Belinda accepted a fulltime staff position as the Finance Coordinator. She is responsible for overall financial operations in addition to her real estate functions at auction.
Belinda has been married for 34 years and also assists her husband, Ken, with their plumbing business. She has 2 children and 3 beautiful grandchildren. Belinda enjoys spending time with her family and being active in her church.
Spencer is a relatively new employee to Wilson Auctioneers, Inc. He is a Graduate of Reppert School of Auctioneering in Auburn, Indiana and is working towards his Arkansas real estate and auctioneer licenses.
Spencer is a full time student at National Park Community College and is pursuing a degree in Business Management and Marketing. Wilson is a member of the National Auctioneers Association and recently competed in the International Junior Auctioneers Championship and the International Ringman Championship. Both competitions were held during the NAA annual conference in San Diego, California.
Spencer attends Hot Springs Baptist Church and takes pride in being active in young Christian events. Wilson’s staff duties include assisting with the computer design, layout and posting of auction signs and processing all outgoing auction mailings.
MEREDITH wilson
meredith@wilsonauctioneers.comMeredith is the newest employee of Wilson Auctioneers Inc., joining the team full time in January of 2008. She is a 2004 graduate of the University of Central Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science degree.
After living in Los Angeles for 3 years Meredith has returned to Arkansas. Meredith is recently engaged to David Brewer and anxiously looks forward to what the Lord has in store for her future. She is currently working towards obtaining her Arkansas Real Estate License.
Meredith is proud to be part of a third generation auction family and looks forward to helping you with all your real estate needs.
